Well, a couple weeks ago we were asked to be part of a special “VIP” episode of Big Red Potion, and we sent in a 6-minute bit on our pick for the most overrated game of the year. So, after recording episode 17 (which should be done soon), Doxy, Zeus and I recorded some thoughts on the matter, which can now be heard here.

The show’s host, Sinan Kubba, had me on his show back in April to discuss all things World of Warcraft (and why everyone hates on WoW). It was pretty interesting stuff, I think.

BRP is every bit as as “high brow” as we are low. The show itself is an ongoing discussion about some of the most important issues in gaming, and is usually approached with a level of sophistication and class reserved for a high-society, post-dinner discussion.

I say usually, because I’ve been on the show twice now, and twice I’ve gone out of my way to bring up the Nazi’s. I’m not proud of it, but even in high society, I gotta be me …

In episode 13, Zeus mentioned that she served as guest-host for a web series called “Dell Motherboard” over on VBS.tv about PAX, so here’s that:

At this point, I don’t know which of us have seen this, so I can’t speak for everyone at DK, but I’m pretty proud of her. I think she did an excellent job, and it’s comforting to know that — as DK grows in both scope and budget over the next couple years — she’ll be able to handle herself with the level of “awesome” her namesake implies.

Also, a quick nod to Dan “Danimal” Smith (the guy Zeus beat on Mario Kart 64). He’s an old friend that Doxy and I went to school with, and he and Doxy attended PAX almost every year together before becoming enforcers. We’ve been talking about trying to get him involved in the site for about two years now … you know, I should really call him …
