Great flamebait this week Tayo, I really wholeheartedly agree with you. I mean, Valve really is a great company for all they do, because of them, I’m not really inclined to waste any extra money because I’m still content playing their games from years back. I have to ask though, if there was ONE company that you think is the biggest culprit of sequel saturation, which is it? Or are all the companies doing sequels doing the same level of wrong to you?

EA is the biggest culprit of over-saturation, mainly because of their sports titles which are their bread and butter. Activision does their fare share of sequel-spam as well, but they pale in comparison to EA. To make matters worse, EA is charging for DLC that is already on the game disk, making gamers pay for it if they rent game or purchase it second-hand and, worst of all, charging gamers to play their sports titles online. I love some of the games that EA has been behind (Mass Effect series, Dragon Age) but I think their new policy towards online gaming and DLC is a step in the wrong direction and will ultimately bite them in the ass.
